For London residential contractors
Keep quotations moving while your team is on site.
Your QS knows the job, but keeps getting pulled onto site to sort out problems on other projects. Finding time to put the quote together is the hard part.
Discuss a live jobStart with a conversation with Trails. Scope, fees and availability are confirmed individually.
Start with the work that is ready
Separate enquiries that can be priced now from those missing drawings, scope decisions or a realistic budget discussion. A backlog is easier to tackle when every job has a clear next step. More estimating capacity will not resolve a decision nobody has made.
Choose the right amount of support
A one-off estimate can help with an isolated peak. Recurring external support may suit a steady flow of enquiries. A permanent hire may make sense when the workload and responsibilities justify it. The useful comparison includes your time briefing, checking and correcting the work—not just the supplier’s fee.
Illustrative example: three waiting enquiries
One refurbishment has a complete scope and can move into pricing. A second needs structural information. A third needs a conversation about budget before detailed estimating. Treating all three as “quotes to do” hides the different work needed to progress them.
Questions before you get in touch
Do we need to replace our existing QS?
No. The starting point is understanding which work is waiting and which responsibilities your team wants to retain. Support should fit around the people who already know your business.
Can you guarantee a quotation deadline?
No deadline is promised at enquiry stage. Suitable support, available capacity, scope and fees must first be confirmed.

Tell us where the quotation is stuck. Trails will review your enquiry and contact you to explore suitable support.
We ask before sharing details with a partner. An enquiry does not book a service or subscribe you to updates. Please leave out client names and full site addresses.
Enquiries are held privately by Trails. For questions about your information, email hello@trytrails.co.uk.
